Dr. LILLIAN CARMINA LYONS, DDS., MS
Board Certified Periodontist
Dr. Lyons was born in Mexico City. She received her Dental degree in 1993 and a specialist certificate in Endodontics and Periodontics from the National University Autonomous of Mexico (UNAM) in 1997. In 2005 she obtained a Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and also a Master’s of Science degree from the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch. She taught Periodontics at the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch for the department of Periodontics. She is a member of several renowned dental and periodontal organizations and has been a board member of The Hispanic Dental Association and Houston Hispanic Dental Association. Currently, she is the President of The Greater Houston Society of Periodontists. Her private practice includes all the aspects of dental implantology, oral medicine and periodontics. Some of her achievements include being re-certified by the American Board of Periodontology, being published in the Journal of Periodontics and being a grant recipient from the American Board of Forensic Odontology for her research in forensics in relationship to dental implants. Dr. Lyons joined our office two years ago and focused on the improvement of the periodontal health of our patients by providing conservative non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy. Periodontal treatment includes crown lengthening, reduction of periodontal pockets, plastic surgery of the gums, bone regeneration and bone engineering techniques, sinus elevations and augmentation of the jaw bone in preparation for the placement of dental implants.
Dr. Esther M. Fisher, DDS., MS
Dr Fisher, was born in Cali Colombia. She received her dental degree DDS in 1981 from Colegio Odontologico Colombiano. In 2002, she obtained a Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and also a Master Science from University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch. She is a member of The Greater Houston Society of Periodontics , and also a member of the Houston Dental Hispanis Association. Her periodontal experience include procedures such as dental implants,sinus lifts,gingival grafts to treat receiding gums,gingivectomies,periodontal surgeries to treat gum disease,ridge augmentation,crown lenghtenings, tooth exposures,dental extractions, oral biopsies and all procedures related with the restoration of the periodontal health. Dr Fisher enjoys spending time with her family and friends,playing guitar,cooking and outdoor activities. Work in excellence and integrity are the commitments that she has to her patients.
Dr. Samer S. Dar, DDS., MD
Dr. Dar is a native of Spring, Texas. He attended Klein High School and went to college at Southern Methodist University on a scholastic scholarship where he earned a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to earn his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He graduated in the top 15% of his class on the Dean’s honor list. Dr. Dar received numerous awards in Dental School including the prestigious American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Award, Southwest Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Award and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Award. After completing his dental degree, Dr. Dar received his medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York. He completed a year of General Surgery training and a six-year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at North Shore-LIJ in New York. During his residency, he obtained extensive training in Craniofacial Surgery, Orthognathic Surgery, Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate repair, Facial Trauma, Facial Reconstruction, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Head and Neck Pathology, TMJ Surgery and Dental Implants. Dr. Dar is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support from the American College of Surgeons and the American Heart Association. Outside of work Dr. Dar enjoys running, reading and most importantly spending time with his family. Dr. Dar is excited about being back home in Texas.
